Counterculture

Introduction: I am fascinated by 50s and 60s counterculture (from the Beat era to the Hippies), and especially of the films depicting those eras. Cinema of The Beat Generation is marginal compared to the dozens or hundreds of films about Flower Power. In fact, you could create a website just devoted to films (from the 60s and beyond) that made passing references to it. (Hey, there’s an idea.) This page will feature movies that are more overt in their counterculture themes. Some may seem very naive and dated today, but they are also fascinating for those reasons. Peace!
