This is cool! Made in collaboration with the performance group Loophole Cinema, this is a striking showpiece of time-lapse cinematography, in which these unseen people wave around lights in an otherwise dark warehouse, which causes beautiful lines and shapes of light. With rapid editing, this film becomes a piece of electronic performance art as the lights streak the film, and our persistence of vision blurs them together to seem that images are somewhat layered. A piece like this is easy to like, as I am enamoured of time-lapse and night cinematography; it’s as fun to watch as I’m sure it was to make.
